Started in Yuma AZ Then Up To The Canada Border Blaine WA

October 2012, a run from Yuma, up into the Tioga Pass & Yosemite National Park at 10,000 ft elevation. I was on the Flathead, I had one hand on the throttle, the other on the carb mixture. I was leaning it out until the engine complained, then half a turn back to rich.

There are a few photos from the infamous Yuma Territorial Prison State Park, then Yosemite & a Lo-o-ong run to the Stonehenge in Washington & up to the Canada border. And some are color photos from my cell.

Well, at least the prisoner had a pot to piss in...

Run partner Ron's '32 VL with a UL 74" motor. A really slick job.

My Yuma buddies diverted my attention long enough for them to have a little fun with words...

MORE Proof, Tioga Pass. 9945 ft up

Tioga Pass again

There is a Stonehenge in Washington, South central US Rt 97 just up from Maryhill & the Mighty Columbia

The VL/UL, VL frame, UL motor. Really nice job.

'41 Flattie has a name: Mosey

Flattie's in there somewhere

There was a town at WA Stonehenge but it burned down. Kinda ironic to find an old fire hydrant there.

Guy named Sam Hill built the place.

Run Buddy Ron at Blaine WA, Canada border.

Yours truly, a little tired after 1500 miles, with another 100 to Seattle & home. IN the background is US Customs. A nice young lady in uniform walked out & asked us to quit taking pictures of teh border crossing. Go figure.

A true classic chopper, our friend Bob owns it.

When one has a problem, everybody joins. Prettiest 1949 Panhead I've ever seen.
